 Changes to National Minimum Wage Effective 1st October 2009Increases to NMW Rates The National Minimum Wage hourly rates change from the 1st October 2009 as follows: Adult rate (for workers aged 22 and over) increases from £5.73 to £5.80 per hour
Development rate (for 18 - 21 year olds) increases from £4.77 to £4.83 per hour
Young workers rate (for 16 & 17 year olds) increases from £3.53 to £3.57 per hour
