 Tax bandwidth changes effective 6th April 2010No change to the basic rate tax band, introduction of new 50% band for earnings in excess of £150,000 The basic rate tax band remains unchanged at £37,400. Basic rate tax of 20% is payable on earnings up to £37,400 and 40% tax is payable on all earnings in excess of this amount up to £150,000 - 50% tax is payable on all earnings in excess of £150,000 with effect from 6th April 2010. |
